Honestly, I need to get my PR's compiled. This is something I started a year ago and then lost my file. I have them on my old computer but need to dig them out. There is still more I need to find. Short-Term Running Goals: February 1st: Frosty 5k
February 22nd: Run for the Cookies
April 6th: Scranton Half Marathon (with Wes)
July 19th: New York Giants Run of Champions
October: Gettysburg Half Marathon
On top of some races, need to lose some weight to get to a good competition weight and also need to get rid of all my injuries. I would also like to drop my times
This year I would also like to hit 1000 miles during the year. Long-Term Running Goals: I think that eventually I would like to qualify for Boston. That is something that weighs on me but not as bad as not completing a marathon. Think I will take the approach of trying to complete a marathon within the next 3 years and then we will see after that.
I also want to keep dropping my times and stay competitive in age groups and get competitive overall. Personal: I am 29 years old, soon to be 30 and I have the best most supportive wife (Courtney) and we just had our first child (Isaac) in December. I ran track most of high school and one year of Cross Country. I then went to college where I ran for a year on the college team. Since then I have been trying to get myself back on track with my running, I run more days then not but I have not been able to have one year without some type of injury. I would really like to get back to being injury free and a competitive runner. |

| | This was supposed to be an 8 x 400 session. Since the hamstring went bad last time, I changed it up. I went for 2 miles and for every other quarter I increased the speed. Then after the quarter, I lowered it back down to 8:00 per mile pace. Seemed to work out pretty well. Didn't get hurt!

| | Tempo Run Night. 10 minutes slow, 5 @ 7:30, 5 @7:05, 5 @ 7:30, and 5 @8:00, then 10 slow. Wanted to have a little better third 5 minutes in the tempo part but my body was not feelng it. Something was off tonight, I think that tomorrow having the day off will help me get on track to end the week well. I don't think that the crappy weather helped any today.

| | Had a 90 minute run and the it should have been 3/4 at normal pace and then 1/3 a little faster. My first 3/4 I would say were slower then what I am planning for my long run days. The final 1/4 was much faster and in total my average pace was 8:05. So I was pretty happy having a total average pace lower then what I would normally want but the average was a little lower then what I imagine the program would prescribe. Overall, I am feeling stonger and things are holding up pretty well. Need to get that hamstring to 100% but it is doing allright. I am thinking that I should have a better time in Scranton's half then the fall half.
