Workout at the track: 4x2K at CV/10K pace with a 400m jog recovery between + 4x200 after.

Splits: 6:42, 6:43, 6:41, 6:41 and then 32s for the 200s. Came through the 1600 in 5:21ish for each one.

8 mile tempo at half marathon-marathon effort this morning. 1st mile was a 5:54 and cut down a little each mile with the last one at 5:38. Overall average for the tempo was 5:45. Felt pretty controlled, but once again, it felt like my legs were more of a limiting factor than my aerobic fitness was. Especially at the beginning of the tempo, I'm sometimes just stuck at a certain pace no matter how much it feels like I try accelerating. Should try to make an effort to warm up better to see if that makes it easier to get into a faster pace early on.
