Brutal conditions this morning. I ran the first 9 miles alone. They were slow, mentally draining and just not that much fun really. Fortunately I bumped into a fellow runner who had started after me and was turning around. The next 7 miles were much much better. I felt more relaxed, the pace picked up, the humidity dropped. It really was a big contrast. Average pace for the whole run was 8:15, which is nothing to write home about, but given the first 9 miles that is much better than I'd expected. He doesn't have a blog here, but thank you Kevin for turning my run around!!!!! |
