| Before practice I lifted weights.
I ran with Neal today. We took it pretty easy, I'm not sure how fast we went because I forgot my watch. I would guess around 6:50 pace. I added on a little more after to make it eight miles. I've never lifted before I ran, but it turned out pretty good. My legs felt suprisingly strong and fresh.

I did three easy miles this morning. I felt tight when I started, but I felt good by the end. It wasn't nearly as cold as I thought it would be.
Later, we did six eight hundreds. We did them on the indoor track. They were at 2:17, 2:17, 2:17, 2:18, 2:18, and 2:24. I wasn't feeling very good, and should have been faster. I started out in the front of the group, but was near the back at the last one.

| I ran by myself today. I have class, so I had to run earlier. I didn't look at my watch too much, and tried to keep the pace pretty easy and controlled. I ended up averaging about 6:40 pace. I started around seven, and the second half was about 6:30 pace. I felt pretty good, and I wasn't very tired from yesterday. I'm going to lift weights later tonight. |

| We did ten one thousand meter repeats today. They were supposed to be more pace intervals, and we had a one minute rest between. We started out by warming up 2.5 miles. My first one was about 3:12, in the middle of the pack in the second group.(the first group was the top nine, the second group was everyone else) My second one was about 3:11, same place. I don't remember how I did on every interval, because there were so many, but I averaged 3:07 or 3:08 for the next 6 or 7. I was about in the same position, I was near the front one of them, but about in the middle. One of them was slower, about 3:10. On the last interval, I really pushed it and ended up with James, and pretty close to the other guys. This workout was a big improvement over Tuesday. I consistently beat 6-7 guys, and beat a few others on a couple intervals. This is where I should be at, and hopefully I can improve by indoor.

| I was home today, and I ran with Gemachu. We did our usual run down to Sugarhouse and a loop, but we went back a different way. We ended up going up evergreen, to 2700, and up 3900 to skyline, and we both jogged home after that. It was a fun run, and our average pace was about 7:00. We were under 7:00 on some downhill miles, but over seven on some uphill miles. We kept the pace easy and didn't really push it. I felt good, but my heel was bothering me a little bit. |
