I stole this from Tom's blog because I really like it:
Hudson tidbit: "When it's done right, the long-term training process is like an asymptote. The line that the training process moves toward but never reaches is 'perfect training'.....while it's impossible to train perfectly, it is possible to train better and better." Favorite Blogs: |

| | Only intended to run 8 miles today because I'm just planning to do 6 X 8 this week, but the day was so beautiful and I felt no pressure to finish sooner. I just kept running and did 10 in a casual 1:35. | |

| | SLUGGISH this morning. Luckily, I did 10 miles yesterday, so I'm still ahead on my mileage this week. | |

| | Felt better than yesterday, but I think I'll make tomorrow my rest day. Felt really happy running with no pain again today. :) | |

| | 8 in about 1:14. A little faster than usual. As I was running, I considered the fact that I'm not doing any speed training in preparation for this next marathon. The reason is that I'm just trying to stay healthy going into this one, and I just want to get strong at running about 50 miles a week, nothing more. But then I thought, I could at least make some of the runs I'm already doing into tempo runs. So I picked up my pace in the second half of the run. | |

Don't know my time for the first half mile--Garmin issue. But the last 8 miles, I ran in 1:09. Can't believe I was running that fast and felt great doing it. | |

| | My knee was aching a little after yesterday's fastish run, but I still did my last 8 miles of the week to bring my total to right around 50 for the week and to meet my goal of 6 x 8 for the week. Yea!!!! It was a beautiful day, and I pondered the self-control I've learned to make myself stick to a meager 8 miles on a Saturday. I so wanted to run another 4 or 5, but I knew my body is cautioning me to take it easy. So I just enjoyed the run while it lasted and will look forward to tomorrow's run followed by a long bike ride with my boyfriend for Valentine's Day! |
