Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

LPT with Andy. Same 8 miles that we like to do. I slowed us down quite a bit!

3.5 hours of sleep x2 nights in a row. Hawaii time! Needless to say, I still have an annoying cold. I'm hopeful it was that combination that led to this ⇒

8 flat miles at 7:58 ap and 93%HR. And it felt like it. I wanted to turn around 3 miles in to it, but held on. By the end it felt like a 5k cardio wise and a marathon physically. It was awesome.

Sort of a last minute lunch run up to the Twin Peaks with Scott. I was breathing harder than necessary and asked him to walk once. He gave me a hard time because I always talk about trail running being an "off day" or "cross training day." But the truth is, is that there are days where it is just as hard as interval work for me, and I'm the only one breathing through a ventilator, strapped to my back.

After the run I noticed my buns are a little sore. It's been awhile since I've been on a stair stepper. Time to step it up, sometime.

City Creek with Scott. Quiet an astute sashay with one digger. Ran up for 5.5 miles on the trail, then back down on the road. The down hill allowed for the pace to sit comfortably in the 7:30's ap. We decided to give a final push (6:10) with just under a mile to go. It felt so good to get some leg turn over on the downhill! Made me hungry to race. 11total @ 9:15ap
