Long-Term Running Goals:

I love training with others both on road and trail. I also find benefits of running solo when I need to focus and regroup.

Fun fact: Although I prefer to run outside, I don't mind the treadmill for pace accountability and for the blind assumption that I can run really fast. I have a lot of secret treadmill PR's at 0% incline:)

5:00 AM- 16 miles (7:30 AP) with last 5 miles close to mp (6:49, 6:49, 6:44, 6:40, 6:30). I realized this was similar to Monday's tempo workout, except this time I ran a 10 mile warm up and ran an extra mile tempo. I also felt a ton better today than Monday. Small aches...left knee was bothersome from mile 2, then my left arch started to act up from 5 on. Also, my left toe feels like it is going to fall off.  Nothing too big of a deal. Record time getting showered and ready in 15 mins before work!

So, you didn't die? That's a relief.

Hey too bad we didnt live closer...ran very similarly...i left at 452 however. Back by 715. Only pne fast mile today.cause i was lucky to have kim for 11 of the miles. Your tempo was sweet :) just chop the toe off....i was going to chop my heel off...then last resort sterood shot yesterday. Yikes. R u running striders half? I work so cant. Bummer since it is tbe forst half of the course.

From Tara on Thu, Mar 28, 2013 at 19:48:06 from 69.171.187.81

Julie- Yes, I wish we lived closer too. So you are second on the leaderboard for women for the highest miles this week. I never looked add it until Angie made me curious. I have been planning to run striders, but my family is trying to talk me out of it so we can go somewhere for spring break. I don't know if that's the race on sacrifices year since it is, as you said, the first part of Ogden. Besides, I have plans to meet allie on the monkey bar bus.

Burt- I can think of something you could be doing more valuable your time right now.

From allie on Thu, Mar 28, 2013 at 19:50:47 from 97.126.218.177

monkey bar bus. just like chess. and words with friends.

JULIE- ignore that first email, that was all sorts of nonsense.

From AngieB on Thu, Mar 28, 2013 at 20:01:20 from 65.130.68.108

From Kam on Fri, Mar 29, 2013 at 10:03:47 from 68.66.163.179

Tara, that run was beyond legit. Still, not quite up to the standard we set a couple saturdays ago with pumpkin cookies and 5:30 miles. Or were those half-miles?

From Rachelle on Fri, Mar 29, 2013 at 10:23:19 from 159.212.71.199

Awesome run Tara! This is my favorite pre-marathon workout. Your training for Ogden is looking great.

From Tara on Fri, Mar 29, 2013 at 18:35:05 from 69.171.187.84

Thanks for the kind words, Kam. Except maybe you didn't mean it because somehow your comment got deleted.:) I guess you wanted to take back your comment about the pumpkin cookies. That's the only thing I can think of.

Angie- Thanks a lot! No, I don't anticipate following that bored very closely. I'm usually on the last page anyway.:)

From Tara on Fri, Mar 29, 2013 at 18:36:51 from 69.171.187.73

Nevermind, the comment is back. I've been hallucinating since yesterday's workout.
