Ran some miles that felt comfortable but were actually at a pretty good pace. Once I saw that I was running a good pace, I tried to hold it without pushing too much since it is an easy day. Turned out that I averaged 7:30/mile. This is good. I might be starting to turn the corner on getting in shape.

When are you going to accept the fact that you're in great shape? 7:30 pace for 6.25 miles? That's great shape.

Yeah great job Steve. I'm having trouble getting any of my runs to average under 8:00 right now. I guess I should say my recovery day runs. My tempo runs have been pretty good, but everything else seems to be a struggle.

That's strange. I figured you just easily ran 7:00 pace or faster on all your training runs. Maybe it has something to do with the heat or maybe with increasing mileage lately. That's great you can do your big workouts where you want them. That's certainly most important.
