Still feeling fluey, but much better than the past two days! Went around the corner from my house to run the Half Pregnant Half Marathon that Jun put on this morning. I only ran the 10K. It was suppose to storm this morning, but luckily it waited until now. It was windy at the start and I was the only girl there. I was a bit disappointed since I thought Kelli, Smooth, and maybe Rad would be there. There was no shortage of guys however. Dorsimus looked especially cute with his largely pregnant belly. I couldn't look at him without laughing! I brought a balloon to put under my shirt to run half pregnant looking, but Jun (Craig) needed it since he forgot his and besides, I have been pregnant enough. I didn't meet anyone from the blog except Dorsimus and Jun. Craig's mom and a friend showed up right before the start and I was gladly not the only gal there. The race started and the large pack of guys running the half were off and not long out of my sight! It was a great run. I have only been up to running 5 for a week and since having the flu and not feeling great, I was a bit worried that I would be running for bushes. I ran into Leslie the half pregnant runner that the run was put on for when I was on my way back with about 2 miles to go. She came a little late. She looked cute running with her little bump. I got a little nervous when I was all alone and ran across a bridge that had a picture of a LARGE cougar that had been on that bridge recently! yikes! The run was beautiful. The smell of fall was in the air and it was so nice to be out on the trails again. I haven't been able to run that far since the middle of August. I brought my ipod, but didn't even turn it on. I wore some old running shoes because I thought I would be a muddy mess by the time I finished. It was a bad idea since there were quite a few areas that were icy and I was slipping all over the place. Loved the run. Wish I could do runs like that more but am always a bit afraid to go out on my own never knowing if I will run into a cougar or a creeper. Thanks Craig for putting on a fun run!
