Short-Term Running Goals:

Recovering from micro-fracture surgery on my right knee.  I tore the cartilage off of my knee while doing a speed-training run one month before Boston.  Doc gave me a cortisone shot so that I was able to finish Boston.  After the surgery, I was told to never run again. :(

Long-Term Running Goals:

QUALIFIED FOR BOSTON! April 16, 2011 

Ran Boston on April 14, 2012!

Ran 4 in 35 min 20 seconds.....thought I was going to puke when I finished because I goosed it the last .3!  I have no idea how I ever ran a marathon after my run today. ...4 miles about killed my pathetic body!

I don't know about the run less, run faster program.....I can't even run slow less!  I was pushing myself to run under 9 minute miles and it was so hard!  

I woke up this morning and felt like a hunk of crud and it has lasted all day. I whipped my kids into cleaning rooms before school today because we haven't been home for days....it's been a crazy around here.   I deHalloweened my house and put up Thanksgiving junk and went for a cruddy, slow run and have been running kids around ever since! :(

Ran 5 around my Little Cottonwood loop!  It felt so good to be able to run my favorite route again.  I didn't think I would make the last .5 uphill with the wind blowing on me...but I did it.  My legs are worn out and feeling so tired and I am loving that familiar feeling.  Still feel like a hunk of crud! ha!
