Short-Term Running Goals:

Recovering from micro-fracture surgery on my right knee.  I tore the cartilage off of my knee while doing a speed-training run one month before Boston.  Doc gave me a cortisone shot so that I was able to finish Boston.  After the surgery, I was told to never run again. :(

"In truth, runners don't race other runners.  They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares.  And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better." Running for His Life by Michael Hall

It's only 4 miles to run around all of LCC? I always thought the canyon was bigger than that.

When do you plan to hit mile 11 during your race? I'll be out there with my boys cheering all of you on!!! I want to make sure i get out there on time. I know your real name so I will know who I'm yelling about!

Mile 11...you must be just past Leslie's Bakery? Are you close to Casto? Are you on the right or the left? Is it okay if I leave Muscle Milk or Citomax on your lawn the night before?

Running down LC is 9.2 miles from Alta to my house. The loop is exacly 4. Do you ever run up Temple Quarry trail? That is a fun one too.

Ha. My comment about LCC was a joke. I am intimately familiar with that trail. Is it open now?

I live right behind the city office building. I will actually be up LCC in the morning if you want me to drop be and pick up your stuff. If so send me your number and I'll stop by or meet you somewhere. Just send me a message or email me at craig.lloyd@gmail.com.
