Recovering from micro-fracture surgery on my right knee.  I tore the cartilage off of my knee while doing a speed-training run one month before Boston.  Doc gave me a cortisone shot so that I was able to finish Boston.  After the surgery, I was told to never run again. :(

"In truth, runners don't race other runners.  They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares.  And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. I hr on the bike and .5 on the elliptical.  My 4 yr old was a nag today.  I kept having to take care of him instead of exercising.  I was planning on 20 minutes on the elliptical, but I could hear him screaming from upstairs to "come wipe my bum." ha!  Called it a day after that!

Heading to southern Utah for the weekend....YEEEHHAW!

1 hour on the bike...that's good! How do you like the ellipitical? I've tried it several times and just can't get the rythem of it, it seems to wear me out very quickly and tortures some specific leg muscles I typically don't use.

BTW...I thought "YEEEHHAW" was only used in Texas :-)

I hate the elliptical! It seems like a waste of time.

IJR...if you've ever been to a southern Utah small town, you would swear you were in Texas! :) I love it there. We are just heading out.

ugghhh. The 'call of the bum' - I can't wait until all my kids are done asking me to do that!!!

Nice job getting all done and a great workout in.

My 4yo has Down Syndrome and wipes her own bum. Tell your kid to step it up.
