Recovering from micro-fracture surgery on my right knee.  I tore the cartilage off of my knee while doing a speed-training run one month before Boston.  Doc gave me a cortisone shot so that I was able to finish Boston.  After the surgery, I was told to never run again. :(

"In truth, runners don't race other runners.  They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares.  And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better." Running for His Life by Michael Hall

Sounds fun!!! Hope it was not too hot, the day was weird (hot and cool).

CUTE new picture! First day of school I am guessing???

Hope the house showing goes well. It is so stressful selling your house and trying to keep it clean with kids at home!

My nephew dumped me today and so I don't have a running partner until tomorrow. I think I will just weed and clean until my fingers hurt. I am so sick of cleaning my days away. I don't think anyone understands until they go through this just how stressful it is. We have been doing it for 2 yrs now. I think we will pull it off the market if these people decide no after coming through a couple of times now. I need a break. The market is so crappy!

I wish I lived by you Kell so that I had someone to run with and get my miles up. I need some motivation these days. I have no running partners around here. I am the only runner in my ward.

Herriman is CRAZY with runners. They are all over the place. We have to fight for road space. Oh, and the bikers, they are EVERYWHERE. It is nice to be kind of rural!

Our last house was on the market for almost a year. I HATED it and will probably never move again. And that was when the market was CRAZY, but our house was in a not so great location (everything around us was master planned commercial) AND it was an acre of horse property. It was sheer misery. I do not love where we live now (we pretty much had to take what we could get, there were no houses left on the market when ours finally sold---especially that would fit 5 kids!) BUT I do not want to have to try to sell again. Keeping a house presentable with kids is so hard!!! Blah, blah, blah!

SO, I hope these people come through for you! There are so many houses for you to choose from right now that BUYING would actually be very fun! GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I just sent my kids out to weed, I could loan them to you!

I just have too much crap to ever want to think about moving again!!

Yes, there are about 5 gazillion runners and bikers out here. It's all the hills that attract them :)

Nice job getting a hike it. I love hiking, 2nd only to running.

Sounds busy, good luck with everything. Nothing worse than trying to sell a house.

Yep lots going on, hoping you do well with it all. hey I would like to live by some of you as well! I could always get a new job haha (humm maybe make noodles with a secret ingredient?).... Just running with others would add some good motivation and push on those lazy days.

GOOD LUCK with the house showing! I really they come through for you! I feel for you having to keep the house show-ready with kids is so stressful!!! Glad you got a nice hike in with your sister visiting! Have a fun weekend! :)
