Mile race went better than I hoped. I ran 6:31 and really left some time out there I think. If I'd come up with four seconds, I'd have finished 7th AG instead of 10th. And I wasn't ready to puke when I crossed the line, so the effort was obviously suboptimal. :0 But to get a 6:31 out of these legs, as horrible as I had felt 48 hours earlier after my death march with Heather, is OK. I don't think I can go sub-6, but 6:15 might be doable with better training, a little bit more effort and a tiny bit of taper. |
