My run started by racing down to the high school, hoping some guys would still be doing weights. Sadly, the last people were just leaving. I did run a 5:04 for the 1st mile split( A PR, but it was downhill, and unofficial with no witnesses), and I was super pumped with that. Despite that very fast start, I still felt very good and averaged a 6:18 for the last almost 4 miles. I've noticed that on days I do between 3 and 4 around a 7 minute pace, I feel super good the next day. Maybe I should do this before races, because my 3 mile split was 17:18( I had about a 2 minute break while going into the high school and talking to the guys), and I was still able to keep a pretty good pace for the remainder of the run. For the rest of the week, I am going to go on longer, slower runs. I've done plenty of short and quick runs, it's time for my endurance to get up. Good luck to all those running Footlocker!
