Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

We picked up Marianne and Emi from the airport.  Thought we'd go to the new In-and-Out burger in Draper for lunch.  WRONG!!!  They had people directing traffic to get in-n-out of In-and-Out.  Cars lined up for miles...may be not miles...couldn't see that far.  Anyhow, we didn't get in; went to Ruby Tuesday instead.

Emi is the CUTEST baby EVER!!!  She's 7 months old and "talks" by clicking her tongue, growling, cooing and smiling.  She is happy as long as her mommy is the one holding her.  It's SO FUN to watch her.  Seriously, I can't get my eyes off her.

Had the fam. over for dinner.  We had a pasta bar, with 4 kinds of pasta, 3 kinds of sauce, 3 kinds of meat (shrimp, chicken & ham), salad, rolls and pies.  Gary said:  "Too bad we weren't running a marathon in the morning.  This is perfect carb-load dinner."

Now off to read everyone's race report!

Hey SSF!!!

I talked to Larry about Painter's. He said: "I'm fine with that (meaning NOT coming w/ me) if you want a 'girls night out'. I just don't want you to drive to St George!" He's SOOO protective or paranoid about me driving!

Anyway, I will register tomorrow or Monday.

Good night! LOVE YOU tons!!!

I would love to drive!!! I think Nic and Annie are coming up as well, but I told them NO BOYS in our place and tried to convince her to leave my brother behind!! SO AWFUL of me. Anyway, those lovebirds will have to find their own nest! :)

Why aren't you sleeping???

Amazing day! Ruby Tuesday was probably better (for you) than in-n-out anyway! :) Enjoy the sweet little one...she sounds simply delightful!

You and Teena are funny. I hope you had a great weekend with the baby. That kind of baby-talking reminds me of 'The Gods Must be Crazy' (they click talked). So fun to be around a baby. It's been a long time for me. Also-- stay away from In-and-Out for a few months....It will still be there later!
