Run happy and healthy all the days of my life. Be an example and inspiration to my family.

Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

LOVE YOU!!!!

Just fyi, I forgot to tell you: don't be surprised if your quads hurt for a day or two. That's normal! :)

So nice to have some SSF time. :)

Sounds like a GREAT run! Glad Teena is getting you all taken care of - she is so awesome!

As far as Christmas eve run...I don't care. I just want out!! :) -of the house that is, not out of the group. I want IN the group and ON a run, just OUT of the house.

Hmmm.....lots of opinions! I will go wit whatever!

SSF ~ NO quad soreness to speak of! THANKS for giving up your precious break time to help me!

RAD ~ your IN/OUT comment made me laugh! I totally get what you're saying. You've had a crazy busy week with birthday party, sick baby on top of all the Christmas stuff! :) See you on Sat.!

Kelli ~ yep, not much responds these days! So since the majority are from this side of the mountain and everyone is short on time on Christmas Eve morning, we decide to go with the old stand by. Meet at the 1500N Lehi JRP, at 8:30. It won't be too bad if we all huddle with warm blankies and hot chocolate after the run! :)

I am glad that is what you guys went with BECAUSE I think we are going to sleep in and run at 10 when it is warmer!!! We have no plans all day, just stuff with our kids later n the afternoon so we are not in a hurry at all. We want to linger in our warm beds for as long as we can because Sunday is going to be a VERY early morning for us.

YOU GUYS HAVE FUN!!! And Merry Christmas!

Kelli ~ I don't blame you for wanting to sleep in. You deserve it since you get up SO stinkin' early every morning during school to run and workout before work. We will miss you!

I just found out my family bought tickets to the 11am movie...that means I'll have to make it short and sweet. FUN DAY!!!

Merry Christmas to you!!!

Kel ~ Which movie did you see? We went to Mission Impossible. It was very exciting. We miss you and Scott this morning. It was cold but wasn't too bad with the sun. Going over to check your blog now.

From Kelli on Sun, Dec 25, 2011 at 10:59:27 from 71.219.80.158

We saw Arthur Christmas, it was really cute! Mission impossible is on the list for this next week while neither of us have to work!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
