Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Thanks everyone! Some super kind friend from FRB or ForumFlyers must have written SG Leisure Service anonymously! I hope it brings you as much joy as it is to me! :)

I loved the Utah game!! You were there? Lucky lady.

Yep, the bank has tickets to the U box. Larry always gives them away. We've only gone to the ones when Utes play against the Cougs. Those are luxurious seats with a sitting room, overhang and heaters to protect us from the elements, plus the GREAT food in the Spence Eccles Scholarship Room! I go mainly for the food. :)

Perhaps it was your friend, Beth that got the medal for you. Either way, it was very thoughtful for you to give her your medal. You rock!!!

You are WONDERFUL! What an amazing friend to give your medal away!!! I'm so happy someone arranged for you to get your own too! You deserve it and especially after being so self-less to a friend!

So sad about the Cougars . . . .dang!

Dale & Amber ~

It was not Beth. I finally figured out it was MarcE. See his "happy birthday" wish above!

I had so much fun planning the "memorial marathon" for Beth that I couldn't wait to give her my medal. She didn't even know that it was my medal. I feel that it is more than a "reward" for her hard work. It has so much more meanings, one being a reminder of the time we spent together training and that day running in the desert together. Runners are truly the best! We push themselves so hard to do our best and totally rejoice in someone else's success because we know and understand the journey.
