Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Very cool morning, l/s, tights and jacket which I shed 3 miles into the run.  Ran w/ Karen the first 3 miles.  We ran into Lori, the Gazelle, a 1:30 half-marathoner.  Ran w/ Lori for 3 miles.  Legs felt great.  Even the blister on the left foot is all healed.  Ran the last mile bare foot.

10 in 1:23:23.  Splits: 10:48, 10:25, 9:58, 8:55, 8:48, 8:54, 9:05, 8:50, 8:35, 8:57. AP: 9:21

Had a nice 80th birthday celebration for Auntie Gladys...yummy sushi, salad, teriyaki chicken.  Then went to the BYU vs SDSU game where hubby received the game ball after the Cougar's first touch down.  So glad BYU won.  Ate sooooo good at the corporate tent, snapper over polenta, New York steak, new baby potatoes, veggies, strawberry crepe, crab cake, shrimp, chocolate moose brownie, chocolate fountain....YUM!

SSF~~~

WOW!!!! Sounds like an awesome day from beginning to end. Albeit, it would have been even better if you would have been at the U's game!!!! :) :) :)

Payton was also at the Y's game today. He was excited because he got a picture of Elder Oakes in one of the suites.

Miss you. Can't wait to celebrate your birthday!!!

I envy the life you live...Although, it makes me tired thinking about all the stuff you do.

Sounds like you had a great day. It really made me hungry reading about all the good food you ate. Why did hubby get the game ball? I'm glad BYU finally won. Let's hope this starts a good trend.

Maynard ~ We need a forum lunch/dinner!!!

Julie ~ You're such a diehard! 4am is too dark, cold and early for me! Seriously don't know how you juggle everything you do...you're amazing!

SSF ~ GO COUGARS!!! :) So happy Payton got the suite tickets...the pic w/ Elder Oakes is priceless!!!! How was your talk on Sunday? We need to celebrate yours and Kelli's HUGE PRs! Love and miss you!

Dale ~ :)

Nancy ~ Hubby is the Regional president of Wells Fargo who's a big sponsor for the Y as well as U football programs. It was fun to see Cosmo present him the ball which was autographed by Mendenhall. I hope the Cougs continue to win. They had a rough start.

RP ~ :)
