Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Got up dark and early to run on the hotel's treadmill.  Only had time to run 12 in 1:37.  Sweat bucket.  Showered and went to breakfast with the group.

Guess who sat at my table!

Then we went on a private tour of the football stadium and their athletic facilities.  That stadium is HUGE, can seat over 100,000.

I look almost as tough as the longhorn, Earl Campbell, behind me!

I'd love to run on this turf!

Look who drove all the way from Houston to have lunch with us!

The grandkids were so excited to see/meet Jimmer!  "Daddy is taller than Jimmer!" :)

Cosmo is always cheerful even though the temp was 96F and sunny.  I roast sitting at the southeast end of the stadium.  Can't imagine how hot Cosmo must've been moving up and down the sideline in that fury coat!

Can you see Jimmer's autograph on the back of my right shoulder?

My daughter and son-in-law sat in section 101 directly across from us. We sat in section 32 row 3.  We are in the front row of that blue section show in this picture taken by my daughter's cell phone!

See the blue block among the sea of burnt orange?

Kimmy ~ Thanks! I'm going to enjoy TOU!

SSF ~ Yes, I made it home safely. It's been crazy busy. Not nearly as busy as you though.

I posted the pix of me and Cosmo, one from Fri night and one from Sat night! :)

Love and miss you!

Slick ~ Yep, ready or not TOU here we come!

Rachel ~ I miss you terribly! Not sure about the 24th. But I'd really like to do our PRT tradition! :) :) :)

Haven't checked on anybody's blog. I need to go see yours.

Marc ~ OK, will do! Can't wait to see you at SGM! Almost here! :)

Thanks everyone! I finally got around to posting some fun pix from the BYU vs UT weekend. I needed that get-away from the stress of house remodeling and running! Plus it was bonus to see my daughter and grandkids! :)
