Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Had a sneezing frenzy yesterday and woke up with shortness of breath and tightness in chest.  Dashed out the door to meet Wendy, Carolyn and Karen; only to return to take 3 puffs from inhaler.  The last time I took inhaler was at mile 5 of UVM a month ago.  My friends insisted I take a rest day as I was having a hard time breathing.  Had to walk midway and cut the run short.  STINK!  :/

Went to the temple then lunch at Costa Vida to celebrate Karen's birthday.  While sitting in the temple, doing absolutely nothing, I had a yawning frenzy.  Seriously!  No lie!!!! UNCONTROLLABLE yawns every 60-90 seconds for 1.5 hours interrupted by a 5 min. hiccup episode, and blowing of the runny nose, very embarrassing! :}

Then I got home feeling completely exhausted and promptly fell asleep in my Sunday dress.  Next thing I knew hubby was home and woke me up!  So strange!  Can asthma meds cause excessive yawning, hiccups and knock you out cold?  The sneezing resumes upon getting up!  Life is weird!!!  :)

Perhaps you are having allergies. There are is a lot of stuff floating in the air lately. I don't know if the asthma meds can make you yawn a lot, but maybe a lack of axygen will do it. Judging by all the sneezing, you probably are having allergies, which can trigger the asthma, which can cause you to have less axygen, which can make you sleepy. My sons ashtma just started up again after a 3 years and it's due to the allergens in the air.

So what you are saying is that going to your temple causes uncontrollable yawning and hiccups? Are you sure you don't have sacramental wine?

On allergies- I didn't check Monday but Tuesday mold pollen was extra high but everything else was low. Oddly enough, the past few weeks my allergies have been subdued, but I'm only allergic to one type of mold, all weeds, all grasses, all trees, and dogs. Luckily I'm not allergic to cats (but my wife and son are), horses, down feathers, or several types of mold. At least that's what the allergy testing I had done a bunch of years ago showed.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

How strange! I have no idea, but I hope you get over it and feel better quickly! Sorry life is throwing you some 'blows' right now!

Dale, Mark ~ I don't know if I had allergies. I live across from an alfalfa field and neighbors had just cut their grass. I have never been tested for allergens. I thought my asthma was cold or exercise induced. who knows? The theory on lacking oxygen as a cause of yawning has some merit. Not gonna worry about it unless I stop breathing. :) The excessive yawning was just annoying, embarrassing.

Rachel ~ I am feeling better today. No more sneezing or shortness of breath. The unexpected nap did me some good! :)
