Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Forgot to take the Symbicort again this morning; and the smokey air from Spring Open Burn made the asthma worse!!!  By the time I made it home, I was a wheezing mess!!!

It was a broken up 7 miler.  Ran with Wendy to Karen's where she set up the refurbished Garmin 301 Lowell sent her.  It was taking too long to acquire the signal, so we left it on the lawn and ran up to Bull River and back for 3 miles.  The Garmin was still trying to acquire signal; so I rebooted it for her.  It took couple minutes to find the location (which had been hundreds of miles from the last location) and acquired the signal.  We then ran the 1 mile to my house to see if the Garmin works.  Somehow it showed that we ran 0.98 in 7:14...NO WAY!!!  So we reset it and ran 1.25 mile back to her house which showed our AP at 9:48.  Then I ran home.  It was a fun run getting Karen all psyched up for SLC and *peer-pressured* Wendy to sign up for SGM! :)

Going to get a hair cut this afternoon, run some errands, then clean house and set up beds and bedding for my out of states family members coming to the Wedding & mission Farewell next weekend!  We're going to beautify my neighbor's yard this evening.  The dad/husband has terminal brain cancer.  They are leaving this morning for Spring Break vacation.  Hope they will be happily surprised! :) :) :) :) :)

Leslie ~ Yes, they are all out of town till Sunday. Dang! So I won't get to see their happy surprised faces. The dad/husband had brain cancer and was in remission when they moved next door to us last year. The cancer came back in a vengeance. His left side is already going numb. He has accepted it; but not his kids and wife.

We had lots of people in the ward came out to trim the lawn, pull out overgrown bushes, prune the trees, rack and mow the lawn, edge the flower beds, put in mulch, plant flowers and rose bushes. We started at 6pm and transformed the yard by the time it got dark around 8:30. The weather co-operated and we had a lot of fun. The elders brought their trucks to haul away all the yard waste. It is beautiful!

SSF ~ Didn't get EVERYTHING done! Will tackle them today before going to the temple. Jen is receiving her endowment at 7 in the Draper Temple!

I won't be carrying the phone during the race. As a matter of fact, I need to go to buy a belt like Kathie's so I can carry gu and the inhaler. But I will take pictures at the dinners and text them to you! I LOVE YOU too!

Oh, btw, I wonder if you could meet up with Karen at the start on Sat. She is a bit nervous about where to go, etc.
