Personal:

I'm 64, retired RN, happily married, nana to 14 beautiful grandchildren, mother to 6 children (1 daughter, 5 sons) who are kind, hardworking, caring, wonderful people! Wish they live closer!!!  :)  :)  :)

Picked up running in 2005 at age 50, to stay healthy so I can take care of my husband who had endocarditis resulting in AVR and MVR in 2004, end stage renal failure in 2014, kidney transplant on Dec 30, 2015.  Six months after the kidney transplant, we discovered that he has a rare auto-immune disease that was probably triggered in 2004 with then the undiagnosed infective endocarditis.  The doctors had to make up a name for this rare disease, Monoclono Gammopathy with Renal Significance (MGRS).  It is not curable.  After desperately trying different chemotherapies, the doctor finally found one immuno-therapy, Daratumamab, that works to treat the MGRS.  It is a miracle!!!

Grateful for the gift of life, blessings, dear friends and loved ones!!! Thankful for the ability to move, walk, jog, and yes run!!!!

Nice workout! Enjoy the long run tomorrow.

Oh did you run outside in the bad air...I am thinking about doing it tomorrow, What do you think?

From Smooth on Fri, Jan 15, 2010 at 19:01:07 from 174.23.217.47

Yep, I ran outside. The air quality was moderate!

I'm planning on running outside tomorrow. I figure as long as I'm not pushing the pace, I'd be okay.

WHAT??? BOMB THREAT??? CRAZY!!!!

Wishing you were running my long run with me tomorrow. I had so much fun last Saturday and felt so good afterwards.

So ... I found the EXACT flight I want on Delta. It is $490.00. Do you think the price will drop or should I go ahead and get them? It seems like a lot ... but I don't know. I am going to need to book the hotel for another day. I only booked Friday night through Sunday night. I need to book Monday night as well. STINK! Hope it's not full. The flight I want is a red-eye leaving a little after midnight Thursday/Friday and arriving Friday morning around 10:00 a.m. Then, coming home Tuesday morning at 6:00 a.m. and arriving before my lab. :) What do you think?

From DonGardinero on Sat, Jan 16, 2010 at 02:42:27 from 152.216.7.5

That sounds like a whirlwind trip, Teena.

From Smooth on Sat, Jan 16, 2010 at 10:47:22 from 174.23.217.47

SSF!!! What, your hotel stay was Fri night thru Sun night? I thought I told you to book Sat. thru Mon. Check in Sat. April 17 and out Tue. April 20. (3 nights). There shouldn't be any problem extending the stay one more night.

I don't get why you want to get to Boston on Fri. Are you going sight seeing by yourself? Most of us are arriving on Sat. That way they don't have to take Friday off.

The flights I'm looking at is $366 on Delta.

From Rhett on Sat, Jan 16, 2010 at 11:13:13 from 216.67.211.75

Looks like you had a good Friday Smooth. I'm glad the bomb wasn't real.

Teena is Ryan going with you to Boston? If so, keep your Friday reservation and do some sight seeing. Boston is a very cool city. If your going solo, it is still far enough out to change the reservation.

wowsers busy day Smooth, sure glad the bomb was only a threat :)

Nice workout and I hope the air is clearer for you :)

From Kelli on Sat, Jan 16, 2010 at 13:55:55 from 71.219.89.82

Teena---you told me to book Saturday night through MOnday night as well, are you sure that is not what you did? I am pretty sure I did exactly what you did!!!

From TBarlow on Sat, Jan 16, 2010 at 16:55:28 from 216.194.124.36

That's scary! Great workout!

From Teena Marie on Sat, Jan 16, 2010 at 17:16:19 from 174.52.45.85

You are all RIGHT, I am so so so WRONG!!! (As usual.) My hotel reservations are the 17th through the 20th. Whew!!! Okay ... I will plan arriving Saturday then and coming home first thing Tuesday morning!!! I am getting so so so so excited!!! :)

From Smooth on Sat, Jan 16, 2010 at 18:12:02 from 174.23.217.47

Thanks everyone! That bomb threat call from the 16 yr old caused havoc for the city police and school adminstrations. They sent the entire police force to the high school, shut down the roads and the I-15 on and off ramps, locked down the school while the squat team with bomb sniffing dogs combed the entire school. CRAZY!!!

Sam ~ the air didn't get any better. :( Terrible inversion.

SSF!!! SO Glad your hotel reservation was RIGHT. Can't wait to see you next weekend. What time are we leaving?
