I'm new to running scene.  My father, brother and brother-in-law have all ran marathons, so I thought I'd give running a try.

Coming off an injury (Excuses, Excuses!!)

Short-Term Running Goals:

Get some 5K's, 10K's and a few half marathons under my belt. Stay injury free to run the 2009 St. George Marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

2009 STG Marathon!!!!!!!!!!

Personal:

 1 daughter who want to be a runner.  She wants to be fast like her  uncle and grandpa, not slow like her mom.

Another run with my dad today.  It is nice to have company and conversation while running sometimes.  We ran out to the Laverkin stake center and back.  Then hit Pah Tempe on the way back.  I hadnt ran that hill in a month or so and it felt good to run it again.

New shoes, Saucony Triumph, neutral shoes.  They felt good and running in the neutral Asic nimbus for the run on saturday felt good also.  I hope that running in posted was part of my many problems and injuries last year.  I am going to take it easy and not over train this year. 

Oh, I have officially signed up for the St George marathon for 2009.  Yeah!!  (I think)

I hear ya on the last stubborn pounds that seem to desperately want to hang on! I'm hoping summer will come and they'll finally fall off :) good luck w/ your training.

I dropped 10 or so lbs like it was nothing but the others dont want to leave. It gets frustrating, but hopefully I can get rid of them. I am going to switch some things up and see if that helps. Thanx again for the comment.
