I'm new to running scene.  My father, brother and brother-in-law have all ran marathons, so I thought I'd give running a try.

Coming off an injury (Excuses, Excuses!!)

Short-Term Running Goals:

Get some 5K's, 10K's and a few half marathons under my belt. Stay injury free to run the 2009 St. George Marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

2009 STG Marathon!!!!!!!!!!

Personal:

 1 daughter who want to be a runner.  She wants to be fast like her  uncle and grandpa, not slow like her mom.

WOO HOO!!!  I took over 6 minutes off of last years time!!!!!  I felt absolutely amazing.  It was perfect weather, a couple of wind gusts, but overall the temperature was great!!!  

I went out somewhat fast for me, but felt good so I kept the pace the whole way and it paid off!!  I have never ran so fast for so far.  I will be a true runner yet!!!  

67th overall for both men and woman (240 total runners I believe.)  Dont know the count for my place in just womens. 

Awesome!!!!!

Keep it up! What do you attribute the improvement to? I'm sure your lunges are helping more than you think.

Thanks guys!! I think the lunges are definately helping and I have also been doing more core (glute and ab) exercises.

Also running with dad and just pushing myself. For awhile there I would just go run, now I am trying to improve and am way happy I did!!
