58F.  7:29 AP.  Today was the first day I semi-felt like running since "the incident."  By the end I was on a nice runner's high.  Time to hit the track tomorrow and make up Sunday's missed workout.

47F.  Down to the track for 3 x 3200m @ HMP.  400m recovery between reps.  As a fitness indicator, this was pretty disappointing.  Here's what I did:

12:44 (6:23, 6:21)

12:50 (6:22, 6:28)

12:57 (6:29, 6:28)

I went back and looked at similar workouts in the past; this is definitely a far cry from where I was this spring.  The bright side is that I got a great stimulus from pushing through at the end.  After the 2nd rep, I spent the entire recovery lap debating whether to quit the workout.  With a few meters to go I decided this is where you really make the fitness deposit, when your legs are full of lactic acid already.  I ran the pace I thought I could handle in my depleted state and survived it.  I will definitely need to earn back my fitness, and this workout will help.  Hopefully the remnants of the boot camp debacle will be gone next week and I can redeem myself!

47F.  Garmin died but it was slow.  I do felt like I had a pretty good recovery though, despite nearly maxing myself out yesterday.

PM - 75F; got in 2 miles or so jogging around the soccer fields while Elle was at practice.  It would have been more but on my last pass I saw her sitting in my chair while everyone else was practicing.  Apparently she was goofing off and got in trouble...so had to correct that and keep an eye on things after that.

53F, 7:56 AP.  Weird week physiologically.  I've been tracking my weight for the last month or so and Monday was the highest reading so far - I think the reason was every muscle in my body was trying to heal from boot camp and there was probably a lot of fluid involved.  Today was the lowest I've recorded, and I think I was either dehydrated or glycogen-depleted or something because this run felt really bad.  I think the moral of the story is to pay better attention to hydration and eating the right things...
