Total fail, though I was pretty sure it would be.  Danielle and I celebrated our anniversary last night...great night, but when you're going to bed and setting your alarm for 3 hours later, there's a good chance things aren't going to work out very well for your run.

Danielle is going out of town for the next week to give her family some much needed help.  Running will take a back seat again as I shuffle kids and work, but maybe I can make some stuff happen on the treadmills.  Crazier things have happened, I suppose...

You might need two gels at Boston... but I'm still rooting for you to pull off some sort of magic race effort!

Happy wife or good run ... You ended up with the best choice! Just consider it a rest day and move on.

Jake - you know, I have flashes where it looks like I'm actually in great shape, but I think running 26.2 is going to be really, really hard this time...though I have no hard evidence yet.

IJR - yes, definitely the correct choice. PR on the dinner bill too...ouch!

You time a flash right for the 21st, who knows what happens? As you are well aware, you won't have a big margin of error in this marathon, so you are really forced to run a smart race. But do that and you might surprise yourself. Can SlowJoe pull off a FastJoe marathon off low mileage is one of the major storylines going into Boston this year!

It's kind of a cool experiment - how long can you milk a good mileage base? My guess is less than 1 year, but here's hoping I'm wrong!

From Andrea on Mon, Mar 17, 2014 at 19:54:27 from 67.177.11.154

For both of our sakes, I hope you can milk a good mileage base for at least two years :)

Ah, good...I needed a new blog title. Too bad no one will understand it but Preston, Jake and Andrea.

Yes you do need another blog title, but "Milk It" ...? Ahhhhh

Please find a way to get a "Milk It" singlet
