35F.  Today was 5 x 800m @ 3k pace, 90 sec rest down at the track.  I was much improved from last time, partially because I actually looked up what 3k pace should be (was going too slow before).  Either way, I was definitely in better shape today.  Reps were 2:48, 2:49, 2:48, 2:48, 2:43.  A few weeks ago they were mostly 2:52.

I am throwing away these mizunos though.  They'd eaten up my heel in the past and I thought I'd corrected it (with scissors) but I could already see the blood soaking through my sock after the 2nd rep.  So I got 700 miles out of my Saucony flats and about 20 from these pieces of crap.  I only did 1 lap cooldown at the end to minimize the damage.

I came here looking for torture, and got "bad shoes." Close enough. Nice track work, Joe.

Nice Reps...It would be fun to chase you on those sometime. :-)

I tried a couple of pair of Mizunos early on and never could find a style I liked.

Splits are looking good! Never a fan of Mizunos, though plenty of runners I know love them.

Awesome reps Joe. I remember you doing this workout last time and was impressed with the times. Great improvement!

Bummer on the shoes. At least you're smart enough to ditch them.

Sorry about the shoes. I guess they will join the garmin. Maybe you can find side by side plots.

That is pretty hard core stuff; good job pushing through and very nice pace.
