74F, 93% -> 78F, 85%.  21 @ 7:47 AP.  so sloggy.  Legs weren't in the running mood either, despite the easy week...took me 8-9 miles to catch the 8-minute guy this morning.  Maybe it was the whopping effort I put in yesterday.  It always surprises me how my legs adamantly refuse to adapt and recover from anything.

But, the good news is another LR is in the books.  That's 3 weekends in a row now, so maybe cut few miles off next weekend's LR.

Yep. Getting them in. You'll increase the pace once fall comes. Lots of time. Good consistent long runs. After our conversation several weeks (months?) ago I fell of consistency. I realized I can't do them the day after races. At least not in the heat.

The heat really affects recovery times, not sure how or why but I have no doubt. Joe, that is a fast long run, even for a 3-hour guy, congratulations on another outstanding week.

Fast long run, for sure. But you just wrote yesterday(?) that you had 0 miles below 8 min. pace for the vacation, so I get it. That is some rough conditions to be pushing. Strong work.

Thanks all - yeah, the pace was definitely ok by the end, it's just the dead-legged feeling I would like to shed one day. But that's how it goes in summer - you'd think I would've learned this by now.
