5k pace workout tomorrow.  DP will be right around 70, but I'm going to give all these workouts a shot outside first, at least once, before making the call to move them to the TM.  I'm pretty intent on staying away from "workout fails" this summer so if I think I'll do better indoors, as much as I hate it, I'm going to suck it up and hit the gym.

I'm with you on this one. If I need to do speedwork and it is blazing hot and humid when I have the opportunity to run...it is almost pointless for me. Sure, it is good for raising heart rate but you do not get the benefits of the legspeed and turnover because you can't go as fast in those conditions. Heat and humidity are fine for long runs and recovery runs and even somewhat for tempos, but for speed, get to where you can turn those legs!

Yeah, that's the strategy I'll try this summer; I've seen it work for you! I figure the super short efforts and maybe the longer tempos (at a slower pace) might be ok in the humidity but the stuff inbetween is brutal. I'll probably test drive them all indoors and outdoors...

Seems like you've got a good plan. Good luck with tomorrow's workout.
