61F, S 17-21 mph.  7:30 AP.  Did 1 @ MP on the way home.  That was my last long run, which I wanted to do 1 week out to keep my usual taper schedule.  Should run ~41 miles for this last 7 days, which is about 50% of my average week in this buildup.

This Boston meteorologist is giving good news so far.  I think I'll re-read this article in 7 days for a good laugh.

You're ready... Make sure and get some good sleep for the next few days!

From Bam on Mon, Apr 08, 2013 at 08:18:30 from 89.126.28.24

7 days of checking every meteorological site on the web:)

But here's the burning question: what pace was your 1 mile mp?

From SlowJoe on Mon, Apr 08, 2013 at 10:00:27 from 155.219.241.10

IJR - sleep is definitely on the agenda

Bam - 6:37 on a slightly downhill mile (didn't look at my watch until it was over).

From I Just Run on Mon, Apr 08, 2013 at 10:14:31 from 67.79.11.242

My weatherman calls for 43 degrees & low humidity at Boston on the 15th.

From SlowJoe on Mon, Apr 08, 2013 at 10:16:28 from 155.219.241.10

I would like to lock that one in....who do I call?

From I Just Run on Mon, Apr 08, 2013 at 10:22:18 from 67.79.11.242

Obama. Doesn't he control everyting...?

From SlowJoe on Mon, Apr 08, 2013 at 10:29:08 from 155.219.241.10

Ok, thanks. I was just talking to him about an idea I had (a law requiring every US citizen to buy a treadmill that only goes uphill)....I'll just call him back.

From I Just Run on Mon, Apr 08, 2013 at 10:34:00 from 67.79.11.242

Ahhh...you stole my idea!

From Tom K on Mon, Apr 08, 2013 at 11:54:52 from 71.228.90.171

Dude, I already have your weather request. 40 degrees, cloudy, wind WSW @ 30 mph. I've got it covered! No problem!

p.s. If actual race day conditions are different, I plan on blaming "the sequester."

From SlowJoe on Mon, Apr 08, 2013 at 11:59:32 from 155.219.241.10

Ah, that's right....I guess I don't need to call the prez after all.

I know these are tough times Tom, but I'm going to need you to come through for me, even with a limited budget.

From Tom K on Mon, Apr 08, 2013 at 12:17:31 from 71.228.90.171

Interesting. I saw this: "Historically, race day conditions are either cooler than normal, with a headwind, or warmer than normal, with a tailwind." http://www.wunderground.com/blog/HIEXPRESS/comment.html?entrynum=4

...So you can't have cooler temps WITH a tailwind? ummmm....

...Stupid Sequester!!

From SlowJoe on Mon, Apr 08, 2013 at 12:46:52 from 155.219.241.10

Thanks for the link, very interesting. I'll add this weather blogger guy to the other sites I stalk.

One day we'll wake up and fix this economy so that future generations of Boston runners can have both a tailwind AND cool temps.

sounds like dream-come-true weather. I will be stalking u online marathon day

From Matt Schreiber on Mon, Apr 08, 2013 at 21:34:24 from 66.17.102.185

Nice LR Joe. Good call throwing that MP mile in on the way home. Gotta keep reminding yourself where you're at. :) Looks like you're right on schedule and sticking to your plan.

From Tom K on Tue, Apr 09, 2013 at 07:05:15 from 71.228.90.171

The amount of time I've spent looking at the weather, for a race YOU are running, and I'm not, is just bananas.
