62F, 7:38 AP.  Felt better than yesterday, still sucking a lot of air but it's probably good for me.  Quads were actually a little sore from the 6-miler yesterday...it's been that long I guess.  No time to ease into it now though!

I'm sorry to hear about your mother-in-law...best wishes to you and your family.

11 days off isn't ideal, but you really don't lose any fitness in that time. Like they say, better to be undertrained than overtrained, right? Might actually be fun to run a marathon with less expectation/pressure!

Those 6 milers will get ya. :)

Andrea - thanks...sure feels like I have lost (a lot) of fitness. I think most of it will come back by Boston though. Under-trained is for sure! Maybe it'll scare me enough to take it easy on that first half.

Matt - I know, who would've thought!

I'm so far back to start, second wave, 4th corral, my first miles will be duck, weave, and plod. I'm planning to run side by side with JulieC and just enjoy the experience. And then I kinda might drop into a 50 mile race on May 9th. I can't even train right but I still have to scratch the itch. have to.

April - that sounds like a great idea...you'll really enjoy the race.
