Loving the weather lately - mid 40s this morning, 10 mph winds.  Goal for today was 7 easy, 5 @ HMP (7:10-7:15 target)

7 easy:  8:09, 8:19, 8:13, 8:05, 7:51, 8:02, 7:59 (8:05 AP)

5 fast:  7:12, 7:01, 7:03, 6:52, 6:34 (6:56 AP)

7:37 AP overall

So as usual I got carried away at the end but I was definitely due for a workout and it felt nice to let loose a little.  Next week, I'll be back to higher mileage (50s for me) and more tempos.

Yep, a little carried away. Amazing you can do mid 6s after running 11 miles. I can't wait to try out the warm weather in the morning.

Kelli - I probably always go too fast on the "easy" miles, but I don't feel like changing my ways.

Flat - surprised myself a little, most of the speed was in the last half-mile though.

EVERYONE has their thing, we all do what works! Today i sped up for the last quarter of a mile and I was gasping for breath. I was running a 7:03! How did i run an entire marathon at a 7:08??? I do not train the way I race, that is for darn sure. Fast to me is anything under 8:34.

From Burt on Mon, Feb 14, 2011 at 23:02:37 from 72.223.90.79

Joe - you're an enigma. How did you get so fast?

From SlowJoe on Tue, Feb 15, 2011 at 10:09:53 from 131.59.200.82

Thanks Rye

Kelli - yeah I can't comprehend a marathon at that pace, you must have another gear us mortals don't have!

Burt - Flubber. That's how. I still can't run a mile as fast as you though.

wow Joe--I wouldn't change my ways either if I felt that good going so fast--you really know how to finish strong!

From Kelli on Tue, Feb 15, 2011 at 13:30:29 from 71.219.84.215

It wasn't me, I was possessed. AND I know for a fact you will be surpassing that time very soon!!!
