AM:  nothing.  Forgot to turn on my alarm.  This time, I'm not going to make up the miles though, since it was probably for the best.  I still have soreness from Sunday; maybe getting over this cold has something to do with the extra recovery time needed.  Anyway, I'll get in a short run this evening and maybe some pared down speed work tomorrow.

Walk down to the gym and watch all the strange people on the elliptical and then walk home giggling and count it as 12 vicarious cross training miles:)

Hope the cold clears up quickly and so does the alarming forgetfulness:)

Sounds like a good plan, Joe. A little light, fast stuff to sharpen up should be all you need. I take it you are doing a tuneup half? Fine time to do it.

Bam - what is this "gym" place you speak of? Sounds wonderful. And "cross training?" Is that some sort of shoe-lacing class?

Jason - yeah, a little HM this weekend for funsies mostly, and a killer workout.

Joe--I will be arriving in Ardmore that eve, I will call y'all. will definitely call in the am when you are driving and look for ya on the starting line. No wind I hope, I read some race reviews that said the downhill is not much and the uphill is harsh, but there were very few reviews. I guess we will see! I am feeling excited! I have to work the night before and will sleep a lot Saturday so it would be hard to get over to y'alls house. but... I am still contemplating...I would love to say hey to Danielle and we could caravan in the am!!

April - no worries, I definitely understand the night shift/sleep thing (I'll probably be leaving Elgin before 4:30 am that morning). Well, if you change your mind, the offer's still on the table.

I was looking more at the elevation profile, and it definitely is the case that after the first 2 super downhill miles, it's basically a fair course for the last 11. Well, more than fair since the last 4 are uphill! Should be interesting, looking forward to it.
