AM:  28F, NW 10 mph.  6 @ 8:30 AP.  Unseasonably cool, but it won't last.  A little spot has popped up that I need to keep an eye on.  Seems to be around where the achilles inserts into the heel, maybe even lower.  It doesn't act like an achilles issue, doesn't feel like PF; seems to be worst after periods of sitting down though.  This morning it warmed up after a mile and didn't seem to be an issue but there were a few (random) awkward "ouch" steps sprinkled in that first half mile.  Almost turned around, but like I said, it warmed up and seemed ok.  Gotta get to that starting line in one piece...

PM:  44F, N 18 mph.  4 @ 8:35 AP.  ok, the foot thingy seemed fine.  Excuse my panicking over every little niggle.

You've been logging some serious miles! Hopefully, that spot near your hill is a short lived nuisance.

From Jason D on Mon, Mar 25, 2013 at 09:05:00 from 24.1.80.94

Could be worse weather-wise; you could have 7 inches of snow!

Take care of that spot. No idea what it could be. 3 weeks!

ACorn - looks like it was, hopefully

Jason - Oh, I'm not complaining...I wish it would stay like this..

I meant heal. Not hill. Too much running on the brain.

It might be the taper phantom pains hitting early. Better to be paranoid and not have your suspicions confirmed.

Good to hear your hill issue went away. It's always hard to tell if you should turn around on your run.

Hope you "heel" up.

Watch that heel Joe:

The legend of SlowJoe has it that he was dipped into the Mississippi by his mother in order to make him invulnerable.

His heel wasn't covered by the water and he was later killed as his heel twanged when he tried to pass Brandon Dase in a sprint finish at the 2013 Boston Marathon.

He managed to crawl over the finish line in 2:59:59 and uttered, 'I did it,' before he passed on to Hades.

Brandon Dase was DQ'ed for wearing lycra and garish pink compression socks.

By the beard of Zeus, I didn't think anyone knew the legend!
