79F, S 10 mph.  8:05 avg pace.  Really tired and slow to start out, but mostly high 7's on the way back.  Just some good slog-it-out miles...

Danielle and I just finished week 2 of Insanity last night (it only took 3 weeks), and it was a tough one -- Pure Cardio + Cardio Abs.  We'll get through the program eventually!

I need some of your motivation. I am feeling like I want to be a couch potato lately! I wish I ran 13 today! Nice run!

From Tracy on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 11:08:57 from 173.24.38.54

I can't imagine running AND doing Insanity! You're insane!

From I Just Run on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 11:24:13 from 67.79.11.242

Wow Joe...You just keep "slogging" out the miles. What's your plan for a base milage through the summer?

From SlowJoe on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 11:57:30 from 132.3.53.68

S8 - I was a real couch potato for 12 years, believe me, you're not a couch potato!

Tracy - Danielle is making me do it! Well, not really, but we both probably kinda feel obliged not to just sit around while the other furously sweats for 40-45 minutes.

IJR - I'm hoping to level out at 70 in August, then in September I'll start an 18-week Pfitzinger plan (from his book) for Houston. I slightly modified it to peak at 75.

Ahhh...I shouldn't have asked. Now I'm going to start thinking about that kind of milage!

Long and hard miles, good job, you are really picking it up.

From DaleG on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 14:48:43 from 76.27.13.205

You are putting in some long miles every day. Impressive.

Nice! Insanity on top of running has got to be doing something for your fitness..I imagine it would build power and speed!

From Kelli on Wed, Jun 29, 2011 at 22:56:46 from 71.219.92.225

ABS of steel!!!

Nice run today! You should be tired to start out, doesn't it take like 10 miles to warm-up?

From Burt on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 01:07:16 from 72.223.90.79

Tony Horton could kick Shaun T's butt.

From SlowJoe on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 09:13:43 from 75.109.104.60

IJR - I think as long as you build slowly and give attention to any injuries, why not? I'm adding a whopping 1 mile per week.

Flat/Dale - thanks

April - tough to tell yet, but that is the hope.

Kelli - oh yeah, that's what the problem was!

Burt - No way man, no way.
