64F, south wind 22-25 mph.  Tough wind today, but I just did base miles anyway, 8:07 AP.  Nothing interesting except that I almost got hit by a fast-moving tumbleweed.  That would've stung a bit.

I'm considering going shirtless for the race on Saturday.  Cons - I will blind oncoming traffic, and there will be race phototography there.  Pros - it will feel a lot cooler, no one will be able to tell how much sweat, gatorade, snot, drool and water I have on me, and maybe it will help me endure a little better...run better splits at the end?  Not sure.

tumbleweed - that would have been a good story.

My body type does not bode well for wearing a shirt in anything about 55-60 degrees. The shirt becomes a soaking wet rag after a couple miles so I don't even bother.

Was the tumbleweed moving faster than you?

I have no advice about the shirt thing.

You know my recommendation on wearing a shirt.

Hey Tracy have you seen how Turbo Joe has been running?...There's no way that tumble weed could have caught up to him...!

Hum..... You are looking svelte lately......

The tumbleweed was going WAY faster than me. Those things look harmless enough but there is more to them than you'd think...

I remember seeing these people dragging tumbleweeds into their van with New York license plates. Not smart.
