Just checking in to let you know I'm alive & the running in North Carolina is GREAT. As you may remember, I moved to NC a year ago.  I completed 2 10ks and 2 Halfs the second half of last year after my move to NC.  Then I had an affair...with Jazzercise.  That's right.  I must admit I discovered Jazzercise last fall and have been doing that more than running.  Really Jazzercise has come a long way since the 80's workout that it has the reputation of being- but you'd have to try it to believe me ;-)  However, after months of only running every couple months I missed running and have decided to start running more.  The only race I've done in 2010 so far is a 5k (26:10).  I was happy to do even that well with how infrequently I was running.  Luckily my body is still hanging onto my running base...by a thread.  Thankfully I have some girlfriends who are revving up for fall with me.  How can you NOT run in fall in NC.  The weather is perfect and it is SO beautiful, especially the 7 mile loop around Salem Lake! So I will be running at least 2x a week and going to Jazzercise a couple days a week.  I know I won't be consistent about blogging.  Mommyhood, Real Estate Admin. Worker, Part Time Grad. Student & life will continue to eat up my computer time.  But I'll be running, checking in periodically & thinking of all my bloggies with fondness.  Have a smokin' fast fall!!

Ran the Salem Lake 10K with Jaime, Kim & Casey.  My time was just about 15 seconds slower than last year's time.  Not too shabby considering I've been doing more Jazzercise than running lately.  However, I was sore afterwards.  I know I probably went out too fast for the shape I'm in and I was wearing worn out shoes.  Not to mention I had biked 35 miles the weekend before and I never bike, LOL.  The girls & I are meeting 3x a week to run, we are stepping it up.  Considering running Mistletoe Half in 6 weeks, we'll see how we feel after a couple weekend long runs.
