I'm still around! Been running only 12ish miles a week on average. I did gear up in Nov & Dec and trained and completed my first Ragnar Relay. Miami to the Keys. Wow- what an experience! So glad I did it. Will I do it again? Not sure, lol. However, we had a fantastic group of 11 ladies and 1 poor guy. The memories are priceless. I ran about 18 miles total with my 3 legs. Our team averaged 10:29 pace which was actually good considering we got lost and didn't meet up at our exchanges on time at least 3 times. Plus we had a couple newbie runners and others of us who could've been in better shape ;-). So I came home from Ragnar and didn't run much for 2 weeks after. Ha! In fact I've only had a few workouts in the past 3 weeks. NOW- tomorrow I'm running a local 8k (Melbourne Beach Marathon Weekend). Have no idea what to expect for pace. Would love to hit around 8ish, but it remains to be seen. Wish me luck and Happy Running :) |
