Lots of ibuprofen and the swelling was down enough to crosstrain.  I put 30 minutes in on the elliptical and 15 minutes in on the bike.  Felt ok.  I'm counting 1 mile /10 minutes although on the elliptical I was doing 8 min miles.

You have to fill me in on what happened. I was an anti-blogger while I felt sorry for myself, so missed it.

I wish I knew. It started bugging me after 4th of July 5K but nothing major. Then I ran a 5K over the 24th of July and it has been swollen and sore ever since. I've tried everything and can't get the swelling to go away. The Doc gave me a cortisone shot almost 3 weeks ago and said I'd be good to go- he thought I'd just aggravated the soft tissues. I can't straighten it or bend it and if I sit for to long I can't put any weight on it. Sleeping is a nightmare. It is very frustrating.

That is very frustrating! I am sorry. I hope the new medicine does something to help!

I'm glad you were able to get a little x-training in. It looks like tiny little baby steps to getting better....which SUCK!!! I sure hope the doc has better news this week, good luck!
