Mt. Wire solo:
This was a recovery run/hike. I wanted to see where I am with my recovery and getting on Wire is a great way to get some elevation and see how the muscles feel. The ascent was actually pretty good and I felt decent most of the way up, although I felt soreness in my right calf, which is the same one that cramped the last 20 at Wasatch. My time up wasn't really bad, but I didn't have a watch to know for sure.
It was pretty cool on top and I can definitely tell that fall is close. The descent was actually pretty slow and tedious, as I started feeling some pain in the tendon area on my right foot. I don't want to push anything, so I took it easy. I saw one other dude out there on the trail, but otherwise had the mountain to myself. |
