My legs are only a little sore after Saturday, but I want to give them another day of rest, so no running today. I went to the gym after my kids went to bed and lifted with some guys from my neighborhood. We had a really good workout. We did upper body/core for 50 minutes.

Resting is a great idea for you right now. It certainly can't hurt to taper for Sapper Joe. Extra time to rest and strengthen your ITB will only make you stronger at the race.

By the way, we should talk because maybe you should pick me up at my parents on the way out there in the morning of the race. Let's chat later.

Jun- Sounds like a plan

KP- Lifitng is a great way to stay fit on those running rest days. You should try it.

Lily- You are the hardcore one here. You lift for an hour plus do the elliptical and run. I was thinking after I lifted last night that I would do 30 minutes on the TM, but I was too tired. I need some of your energy.

I'll give you some energy
