After my run up Lake Mountain on Tues I played 18 holes of golf at Thanksgiving Pt. (I totally blew up out there and lost at least 25 balls). On about the 16th hole I noticed some sorenes in my left achilles. By time I got home it was hurting, so I took some ibuprofen and then it was still a touch sore on Wed, so I wanted to take it easy, so I just did 4 really easy miles on the TM. I planned on 3, but it felt ok so I did another mile.

Achilles problems seem to be running rampant around the blog right now, so I can't stay here too long or I might catch it.

Good call taking it easy!

Yeah, I am fighting with myself. I want to get out and run something so bad, but if I am smart I'll take it easy.

FYI, still recovering from my achilles injuries, my doctor says that with the achilles some inflammation is actually good. It is different from some other injuries because the problems often relate to the fact that there is too little blood flow in the achilles tendon, so you may want to avoid the antiinflamatories.

RP- Good to know. Today it is feeling better, so I think I'll go for a run and see what happens. I don't want to push it.

Did your Doc recommend anything? Thanks.

I know it seems simple, but do eccentric heel drops. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKYnPr6Tw5o

I'll give that a try as soon as all of the soreness is gone. Thanks.
