Easy run on the Alpine Hwy. My legs are still very heavy and I can tell they are not 100%. Most of the run was slow, but a few times I did pick up the pace into the 7's, but I wasn't feeling like holding any sort of quick pace, so I never pushed too hard. The last few miles were a grind. Hopefully I'll get my mojo back before St. George on Sat. I'll be taking it really easy this week.

You'll definitely need your mojo Saturday. Good luck.

I think the best thing you can do for Saturday is NOT run. Let your legs rest. You won't lose a single bit of fitness and the benefits of having rested legs will greatly outweigh trying to work them back into feeling good because it won't happen. Rest rest rest.

I agree with Jun rest and eat as many cherry fruit pies as you can.. Twinkies and don't forget to carb load too...

Augh - I saw the low of 68 and high of 96 on Sat... another heat fest. Hopefully see you down there. I'll be standing next to the guy with the 5 hr balloons....

You will do great!

Thanks Burt.

Jun- I agree. I'll be taking it very easy this week.

Oreo- I love the Hostess cherry pies. I ate one at Wasatch 100. 500+ cals. Yeah, it is going to be a hot one. Make sure to drink as much as possible. I started cramping last year about 18 miles in. I'll look for you.

I didn't realize you're doing St. George too. Surely you're dwelling in the land of the insane!!
