Had a very nice run tonight. The weather was perfect and I really enjoyed it. My right ankle and my left arch started to get a little sore on the 5th mile, but I don't think it is anything serious. I ran a 3 mile loop in my neighborhood twice and I think the first loop was a lot faster. My total time was 45 minutes, but I have no idea what my splits were.

Hey Scott: I'm like you, I REALLY have a hard time running on pavement. I have to force myself. But the trails! And the mountains! I can run on them forever--what a joy. This Saturday we're dong 12 miles to Symphony Lake, it should be incredible with the fall colors.

But man, Utah is beautiful too. I've noticed many runners on this blog from there. I'll bet the trails are awesome.

Yeah, there are sooo many good trails to run here and I love it. Your run sounds great. Alaska is so wild and rugged, and I bet you have hundreds of miles of incredible scenery to run in. I'm just getting into road races and running and I actually like it a lot. There is quite an adrenaline rush running with all of those people, but you can't beat the mountain sunrise on a trail. :-)
