Hit the trail this morning with Jun while all of you were still in bed (4:30 AM). Okay, maybe some of you were up, but I did get up at 3:30 which still seems so wrong.

It was a perfect morning. We did the Mt. Wire/Red Butte run/hike for the 4th time this year. Yeah, it is that good. It was warm and we had a fun time talking all the way up Wire, and made it to the summit in 54 minutes.

After a brief break we ran over to Red Butte where we did run into some snow. There was a hard crust and we did punch through quite a few times, so it was a little slow and tedious. Once on the Red Butte ridge it was a fun run up to the summit. The run down is pretty technical, but once we hit the saddle we cruised at a nice pace back to the car.

Great Day!

That is sick and wrong Scott. I just shuddered..3:30am maybe in Arizona but here in April. No Way! :)

I used to be so hard core and run in 10 degree weather in the dark...but then my bodyfat was higher and I had warmer gear. I don't own full pants..just some that go to my knee. Next year I will buy some good warm gear.

Running on snow like that...crunchy and slippy and whatnot...it's a big workout..legs and core..U really have to be stabilizing the whole time. But your core is like Hercules or something. :D

My day is going to be great too..tho I just woke an hour ago. I tried waking at 7am so I could really enjoy my day off but I hit the clock off.

So.....Whats your next race!?!?!?

And are you badass Bouldering guys climbing next week? I would love to come...I would bring you a clifbar..Hehe.

Hey Missy, I'm heading to Joe's Valley on Thursday for a 3 day climbing trip. It's the annual Birthday Climbing trip that I go on every year (not my birthday). But I'll also climb on Monday or Tuesday if you want to join.

From Scott Wesemann on Thu, Apr 15, 2010 at 12:54:24 from 66.239.250.209

Missy- Jun and I are running in the Sapper Joe (Jun 50K and me 30K) May 29th. You should sign up. :)

I would love to join for a day of climbing Mon or Tues. There is a slight possibility I may be going down for the day next Fri or Sat to Joes. We'll see.

Sounds like a perfect morning!!! And it is nice to see you going to do Sapper Joe!!!!!

From Twinkies on Fri, Apr 16, 2010 at 00:22:43 from 69.34.153.48

You're getting faster at making that ascent.

From Scott Wesemann on Fri, Apr 16, 2010 at 11:35:42 from 66.239.250.209

Leslie are you doing Sapper Joe? Are you doing the 30 or 50K? I am really excited for that one.

Twinkies- Yesterday was the first time doing Wire that Jun didn't leave me in the dust... then again, he had run 13 miles the day before, was tired and I was fresh. I still think I am too slow.

From leslie peterson on Fri, Apr 16, 2010 at 12:10:48 from 174.52.158.81

I am thinking about it, but I won't decide until after my 50K next week. I am kind of leaning on the "not" side unless I really have a great race. I am glad you are doing it, we need to get you hooked so you will do the Pony Express!

From Scott Wesemann on Fri, Apr 16, 2010 at 12:16:26 from 66.239.250.209

Right now I am planning on the Pony Expres 50. I have some big plans over the summer and I'll hopefully be in good enough shape to make it.

From leslie peterson on Fri, Apr 16, 2010 at 12:19:15 from 174.52.158.81

I thought so, good!!! I hope you don't do the early start so I can see you run past me! ;)

From Scott Wesemann on Fri, Apr 16, 2010 at 12:36:09 from 66.239.250.209

I will start as late as possible. I doubt I will be passing you at all. I'm just hoping to finish.

From missy on Sat, Apr 17, 2010 at 22:44:05 from 75.162.124.171

Hiyah Scott. Hmm that race sounds tempting, but I might be signing up for Daybreak Tri that weekend, I am not sure yet, I am racing on the 15th and 22nd of the same Month. Hell might as well do 3 weeks in a row..haha. :D

From missy on Sat, Apr 17, 2010 at 22:50:03 from 75.162.124.171

Oh Hi Jun, I just saw your message. :D I would live and die to go climb. I need to do something chill like that. I wanted to go longboarding this afternoon but forgot and now its dark..haha. There's always Sunday for riding. TOTALLY count me in for climbing one of those days at least, I will make it work somehow.
