Mt Wire with MattV this morning. It was slightly cold with a little wind at the start, but I heated up fast. Very little soreness in my legs today and I am happy about that after yesterdays run. I did have a slight bit of soreness in my right hip, but nothing major. We didn't push hard going up, in fact Matt asked me if I was feeling ok because I was a lot slower than normal, so at the saddle I told him to lead an push the pace, which he did. He ran/power hiked to the towers and then ran to the top with me chasing. It felt good to push it hard across the ridge to the top. We were still rather pathetic (1:03) but that included all breaks too (Jun please read between the lines...details withheld for the benefit of other bloggers).

On the descent I put on some good tunes and sang along (with some air guitar mixed in) for Matt's benefit most of the way down. We had to take it easy from the towers to the saddle because it was icy, but after that we had a pretty good pace all the way down.

1:34 total time (pathetic) 2200 vert.

You're losing it Mr. Air Guitar man.

Nice! Mt. Wire.. kinda like Mt Doom... Nice run yesterday too! You guys heard of or doing the BST marathon later this month?

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 12:16:11 from 66.239.250.209

Burt- I've got your air guitar...

Oreo- Thanks! Yeah, I have the details on it, but I think they picked a horrible day for it. That is the Saturday before Easter and I am already committed to two egg hunts/parties.

From Oreo on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 12:19:31 from 206.81.136.61

Ah - so it's the 23rd not the 30th??

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 12:24:32 from 66.239.250.209

The email that was sent to me said the 23rd.

From Oreo on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 12:28:03 from 206.81.136.61

Sounds right... I've just had people tell me about it - I haven't seen the mythical email.

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 12:31:34 from 66.239.250.209

HA! Yeah, it was only sent out to a select few, and one of my friends forwarded it to me. If you are interested let me know and I'll send it to you.

You have 0.05 more miles than Lily this week. Haha Lily.

Hey there Champ. You are an animal on the mountain there, slugger. Did you escape from the Zoo down the street, Chief? Listen pal, how about you show us all how it is done, alright boss?

From RAD on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 14:40:34 from 98.202.17.113

Nice wire! I'm sure it will be magnificent to run/sing your way up and down there when all the ice and snow is melted!

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 15:43:37 from 66.239.250.209

Matt, did you recently get promoted to the Elders Quorum President?

Rad, I can't wait.

We will be coming by for a visit Big Guy. How does 7:30PM sound, Ke-mo sah-bee?

From Lily on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 18:24:07 from 67.199.178.210

I read betwixt the lines no matter what. I think Jun probably does the same. Having said that, I hope your breaks were fantastic this morning.

I still like the nickname of wire.

Hey, I am wondering why I now have the label of the one-mile-poo guy. Ummm that isn't me. Now that I cut the oatmeal out in the morning I'm typically 'break free'. Now Van Horn on the other hand...

I notice you keep changing the name of your blog title. Silly. :)

I don't think I've ever changed mine once.
