Draper night run with Jun and Jsh:

I met the guys at 9:00 pm for the weekly night run. We started at the Coyote Hollow trail by the Draper temple. It was already cool, so I threw on a long sleeve, but as we ran up the trail I quickly warmed up and it seemed like the higher we went the warmer it was. We ran a pretty steady pace just chatting away to Ann's trail where we picked up the trail and went up to View Benchmark. It was the first time that I have ever run every step to the summit. I usually try and run most of it, but I will typically hike the really steep sections, but tonight I wanted to see how I felt after running all of it and it wasn't that hard. It was pretty cold on top, but we definitely took our time tonight taking in the views and we stayed longer than normal.

On the way down we took the Eagle Crest trail which I have never been on before and my already sucky headlamp was so dim that I couldn't see a thing. I haven't changed the batteries since March and I have done two all nighters since then. Haha. It sucked. I spent the next few miles holding my lamp as close to the trail as I could while still maintaning a run. I am surprised I didn't trip. I told Jun if I don't get a new headlamp by the next night run he gets a free kick to my package.

Even with the light issues we had an absolute blast.

I'm so excited to kick you in your package because we both know you won't get a light or new batteries before next week.
