Ave Twins with the crew (Jun, MVH, Dorsimus and Leslie).

It was a fun morning running up the Ave Twins via City Creek Canyon. We met at the capitol at 5:30 am. It was kind of cold at the start, but I warmed up pretty fast and by time we hit the BST it seemed downright balmy out there. The trail conditions were not great, but not terrible either. We had some dirt, but it was mostly hard packed snow and kind of icy in a few areas, but overall not bad.

It was a really good group this morning and we chatted all the way up and watched the sunrise as we crested the ridge. After we hit the peaks MVH had a sweet glissade down the mountain on some frozen ice and I think he might have ripped his tights. The sun came out on the run down and it really warmed up out there. It was a great morning with good friends.

You mom smells like moldy cheese and BenGay. But you look fabulous in tights.

I like the smell on BenGay. Sounds like good times.

Yes, nice tights. Don't you know that men are supposed to wear shorts over them so as not to look too svelte? I heard reports of a glissading pile moving quickly down toward the city.

I think my butt looks better without the shorts over the tights.

So, is "glissade" just a nice way of saying "fell on his heinie"?

From Scott Wesemann on Tue, Mar 05, 2013 at 15:27:32 from 66.232.64.4

Neasts- A glissade is a slide down a steep snow slope on your rear end. Usually a skilled mountaineer will use an ice axe as a break and it makes a quick descent off of a mountain. Today MVH didn't have an axe and just got on his butt and went for a ride. I think it was a touch scary, but he survived with only minor damage to his tights. :)
