I decided to run the Snow Canyon 1/2 marathon course today. I ended up running most of the course till you turn in to Entrada. I bailed at that point and continued down Snow Canyon Parkway to Dixie Drive and ran to just short of Sunset to get in the 13.1 miles. I was shooting for 1:45 and ended up with 1:47. Overall I felt pretty good about the run, just need to work on consistency. I would like to run it in 1:40 for the race in 3 weeks. For most of you that is slow but would be a major accomplishment for this 49 year old beginner!

Here are the splits: (8:13 average)

6:23 steep down, trying to hold back

6:59 steep down, trying to hold back

7:34 down

10:00 up- gravel road

9:27 up- gravel road

8:18 reverse directions-gravel road

7:39 gravel road

8:40 mellow down

8:15 mellow down

8:51slight rise- getting tired

8:05 mellow down

7:54 mellow down

Great Workout Scott! I think you're going to do great at the SC Half.

Keep it up!
